Workshop Days at Las Termales

Updated: Apr 29

For the past three days, we've been flinging open the doors to our workshops like it's a three-day festival of fun and learning—minus the overpriced tickets! We've rolled out the red carpet for everyone, but especially for the ladies, because our mission is all about empowering women to become the queens of pedal-powered machines. The community of Las Salinas showed up in style, with women and a few brave men diving headfirst into the world of manual tools, electric gadgets, and bike maintenance 101. We kicked things off by giving our bikes some much-needed TLC—greasing pedals and chains like they were getting ready for a dance-off, complete with disco lights and questionable dance moves.

Workshop Shenanigans

Then, it was all about cutting barrels and metal pieces to craft the structures of our pedal-powered washing machines. Picture this: a bunch of enthusiastic DIYers wielding tools like they’re auditioning for a reality show titled “Extreme Makeover: Washing Machine Edition.” Time has zipped by faster than a bike on a downhill, and we're making fantastic progress. There's still a mountain of work ahead, but we're revved up and ready to roll, confident we'll soon have our pedal-powered washing machines spinning away for everyone at Las Termales de Nahualapa!

The Road Ahead

So buckle up, or rather, pedal up! Because if we can turn barrels into washing machines, just imagine what we can do with a little more time and a lot more duct tape!
